Okay this is my first time posting. Let me start with I know all that matters is a healthy happy baby but what's wrong with trying to stack the odds a little. I'm the mother of four beautiful children one girl and three boys. My daughter is from a previous relationship and my husband and I have three boys. In the worst way I want a girl with my husband. My question is has any of you used the following book How to Choose the Sex of Your Baby to help you conceive the sex of your choice or any other methods that you would swear by. Thanks

HI. My Uncle's friend actually wrote that book. The author chose the sex of each of his 4 children using his methods. So I think he's got the "method" down. I would say go for it. Worth a read. I have the book but haven't read it yet. I have 2 beautiful boys and will try for the girl sometime next year. I hope the advice the book gives will work for you! Good luck!

HI J., Good luck. I am also interested in the responses. I always left the chice up to God and I have 4 sons and a daughter. Also would have a loved a girl for my hubby #2 but wouldn't trade my sons for the world. The last one is in CUNY Grad. center for his PHD. It is too late for me now but I'm not to old to learn. I have to say, I used the book with my third child and I got the girl. I would not have minded a boy again but if their was a chance it might work than why not try. My sister also used it and she got her girl too. Good luck!

Hi J.,

I used that book and am now 13 weeks pregnant and, after having two girls already, we were told on Tuesday at a scan that it looked like it might be the boy we were trying for!! It's a bit early to say for sure but I have my fingers crossed. Obviously a healthy baby is our first priority but there's no harm in hoping to having a boy ..... we'll love a little girl too if that's what my bump turns out to be ;)

If I were you I'd be sure to take the time to find out how long your cycle is (mine changed from always being 28 days to being 31 days) and then it'll be easier to find ovulation. I also used the 'clear blue' ovulation test kit that cost about $20 and had about 7 tests in it.
So, I'd say follow the recommendations in the book and have fun!!

Good luck,
M..

yep 24 hours before you ovulate if you want a girl. I have many friends that tried and it worked.

You may want to try the Chinese Lunar Calendar. For many that have used this method, it has been accurate. Just google it and you will find it easily. Good luck!

Hi J.! I agree with the previous posts. Have sex a couple days before you are due to ovulate. I figured out my date of conception and the "act" actually occurred 2 days earlier. I had a girl. Sperm can live anywhere from 3-6 days inside your body according to the research I've read. Also the Chinese calender was spot on for me and many of my friends. Good luck!!
