How Much Miralax Should I Give My 6 Yo?

I have a stopped up little girl who is just recently out of pull-ups for BM's and is scared, therefore, resistant to "let it go" in the potty. Her Ped suggested Miralax, but I don't know how much to give her. I just bought a bottle at CVS and it says 17 grams for 16-adult. Anyone know how much to give?? Thanks everyone!

Withholding Stool Even Though He Is on Miralax

I am wondering Why my child is still trying to withold stool even though he is on a high level of Miralax. He has about three tablespoons a day. The goal was to get him pooping so much that he did not have time to wothold. Even though he is on all of the lax he still does the dance. I am soooooooo frustrated and want to help him so much. He will be three next month. The funny thing is that I tried potty training last Nov. in which we stoped because he had H1N1. He was also getting one flu after another at school. During that time he...

Moms Who Use Miralax

Our son was just put on Miralax by a nutritionist. We started on Thursday and the pharmacist recommended 1 tsp a day for him. It's Sunday now and no sign of a poop. For all the moms who've used this med on their kids, do you remember how long it took to get initial results? And about how long were your kids on it before their systems became regular? Also, what is the dosage you were told to use? My son is 2 years old and about 28 pounds. Thanks!

My Three Year Old Refuses to Poop in the Potty

My son turned 3 in Jan. and didn't show any signs of wanting to be potty trained unil 1 month ago. He has done such a wonderful job peeing in the potty. I don't have to remind him to go potty anymore he just goes. From day one he has been in big boy underware. He even gets up in the middle of the night to go potty if he has to. Here's the problem he won't/refuses to go poop in the potty. Before potty training he pooped 2-3 times a day. Now it's every other day or longer. I try to look for times that he poops and it's never the same time. He...

Desperate and Sleep Deprived

Hi moms, I'm starting to lose my mind. My 14 month old otherwise angelic little girl, has the worst gas at night and wakes up screaming multiple times. Most of the times she goes back to sleep after I pick her up and rub her belly/back but early morning she just can't get comfortable and is up for 2+ hours. She has always had tummy issues. When she was a newborn she had a really hard time nursing-arching her back, crying when feeding, etc. She was diagnosed with reflux and put on prevacid which seemed to help for a little but then...

4 Year Old with Constipation

My 4 year old is very constipated - enough that the doctors x-rayed his tummy yesterday. They gave me a prescription for Miralax and said that it should make him go. He has had 2 doses of the miralax and a childrens laxative and still has not gone much -just a few poo nuggets. Do any of you moms out there know of any other ways to help him go to the bathroom. Are there any foods that will help besides prunes?
