HORRIBLE Diaper Rash

Hi Moms, My son woke up this morning with a HORRIBLE diaper rash.... He had dirrahea last night while he was sleeping, never cried, and slept in it all night. When I got him up this morning it was dried up and stuck to him (gross I know). His pee pee, butt, EVERYWHERE down there is BRIGHT red and raw... It's super sensitive also. I don't know what I should use on it that won't burn him. You hear about all these "suggestions" but I don't know what will actually work... Any suggestions? I feel SOOOOOOOOOO bad because he's even walking...

I got such awesome responses about the ants, I had to ask about the dog too... We have a six month old chiweenie (chiwawa & wiener dog) that has had several accidents on the carpet and piles of clothes the kids have left on the floor. I have washed and scrubbed with rug doctor ped odor remover, lysol & oxyclean. The confusing thing is that as soon as we are done with the washing part everything looks good and smells good.
