Suggestions for Eczema Problem

Hello, My 3year old daughter has Eczema on the top of her hands. Some days are worse than others. Right now I'm using regular fragrance free hand creams. I'm afraid to use the strong prescription creams because she still sucks her thumb.....and when she's she's sleeping....she tends to rub her eyes with that part of her hand.....have any of you used anything that seemed to work for you and your child? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

UTI / VCUG For 11 Month Old

My 11 month old has a UTI and just started antibiotics. Her doctor recommended that she get a sonogram of her bladder and kidneys and a VCUG. I am a little apprehensive about the VCUG since it is a more invasive procedure with radiation and since this is her first and only urinary infection. It seems as though we should wait and see if it is reoccuring before we do that level of testing. Has anyone else dealt with this type of problem, this type of test? Also, I was told that there was nothing we did or didn't do to cause this...

What Products to Use for an Infant Who Has a Rash

Hi I was wondering what products many of you recommend for an infant (2 month old) who has a very bad sandpaper like rash all over her body. Her back is actually peeling today since her skin has been so dry. I did take her to her Pediatrician who ruled out any illness. He stated it may be sensitive skin or she may be having a reaction to a food that I am eating as she also has very bad reflux along with it. I use dreft detergent on all clothes/linens that come into contact with her. I use Eucerin on her skin which does seem to help a...

Itchy Hair & Scalp

I'm looking for a natural, organic remedy to help my hair & scalp. It's itchy and flaky. About 15 years ago, I went to a dermatologist and she gave me this green gunky shampoo. I hated it. I gave up on that stinky stuff. I really want a natural route.

Diaper Rash and Table Food

My 10 month old has been eating table food and breast milk now for over a month and has had a persistent diaper rash ever since changing from baby food. Could there be a correlation between these two things? As long as I keep original Desitin on her she does fine. But if she misses the Desitin only once and she has a messy diaper, the rash comes back with vengeance - raw, red, and bleeding. Has anyone else dealt with this and what did you do? Help! She is screaming so often with messy diapers and during her diaper changes and I'm sick...

Rosacea Skin Problems

I have had a problem with rosacea for over three years. It got pretty bad when I was pregnant with my first son and recently again when I got pregnant with my second son. It also runs in my family so I was genetically predestined to have it I guess! I have tried many products for acne, sensitive skint, etc. since I was not officially diagnosed with it until this year. My dermatologist suggested a couple of products, like a wash and some pills but they are very expensive (over $100 each). I would love to get some suggestions from all Moms...

Experience with Excema

My son has really bad excema around his face and ears. I have to constantly watch him, and hold his hands down before naps and beds. If I don't catch him in time, he pulls and scratches his ears till it bleeds. I know it's very uncomftable and painful for him cause he shakes, and tosses and turns his head a dozen times or so before falling asleep. I'm in the process of looking for a new pediatrician. I've brought it up as an issue the last time, and he just said it was excema and keep it moist. He gave me Elidel to put on it (which I did...
