Im just curious... at what age did your baby start teething? I understand this can be all across the board. My oldest was a late teeth budder but my 4 month old seems to be showing teething signs already. Im just trying to figure out if I am imagining things.

Thanks!

What can I do next?

Being a new mom I thought that children started to teeth at like 12 months. WRONG!!!!!!!!!! They can start very early. My daughter is almost 4 months and she has been teething since she was about 2 months. Her teeth haven't come in yet, but she is very crabby and drooly. Try Teething tablets they work wonders. I was told that the baby orajel can numb the throat when they swallow it and the child could over dose. The tablets disolve under the tungue and it doesn't affect the throat at all if they swallow it.

Hope every thing goes well.

My daughters first tooth popped through at her 5 month birthday. She was VERY drooly from 3.5 months on. She got all of her teeth including her 12 month molars by 10 months. All kids are different. My mother assured me that I was imagining all of the teething symptoms. My baby showed her!
Good luck to you and your family.

My son started cutting his first tooth at 2.5 months... he was a little cranky for two weeks (Thank God for teething tablets!) and had his first tooth by 3 months!

Your intuitions are probably right, I know 4 months seems young but it is possible. Try putting some orjel on her gums in the area you think she is teething and if she shows signs of relief than I would have to say that she is probably teething. My son didn't start that early but his came all at once, he got his first at 7 months and had 8 teeth by 9 months. I found the best relief for him was orjel, Tylenol or teething tablets depending on how bad he was feeling.

Hi A.,

Teething at 4 months is early, yet very possible. My son too started teething at 4 months and his first tooth finally broke thru as soon as he turned 5 months. You may notice that the teeth may show themselves, but then go back down. It is completely frustrating, so hang in there.

They can get teeth at any time! My oldest 3 kids didn't get teeth until after they were 9mo old. But my youngest got her 1st tooth the day after she turned 5mo. and the 2nd one a week later... today! I had NO idea she was teething, and was shocked to find one in her mouth last week.... Good luck!

A.,

My son cut his first teeth at 4 months. He's now 5 years old. My daughter cut her first tooth at 11 months, and still doesn't have a full mouthful of teeth at 19 months. She has 8 teeth right now.

You're right, these answers will be across the board.

Normal! Some kids are born with teeth. My kids both had their first two come in right around four months. I love those first two teeth, so cute!
