Lay in bed and have someone wait on you hand and foot.
Vicks wont hurt anything, go for it, and rub some on the bottom of your feet and put socks on.
Tea with some lemon and honey.
Whatever that cough syrup is sounds scary.... you shouldnt be spinning while pg I wouldnt think.
Take a warm bath.
Put your 3 yr old in bed with you or on the couch and just chill and watch tv while you wait on docs instructions about your green phlem.
Sleep, sleep, sleep.

Call your Dr. That's what he or she's there for! This close, better to be safe than sorry.

Call your doctor. Im pregnant as well. My doctor told me once you start coughing of colored stuff you need a prescription. Because we are pregnant things will linger around a little longer so I would call. They are on call 24/7.

Dear S.,

If you are coughing up green stuff and your chest is on fire, I think you are sick enough to page your doctor. At worst, s/he will say, "come in on Monday and we'll check you over."

Can someone come to be with you and your son? If you are sleep-deprived and "spinning" you won't be much good to anyone.

Try to get as much rest as possible--here's where it would be good if someone could help you out, by watching your son so you can rest.

Drink plenty of fluids, the vitamin C in orange and grapefruit juices may help with your cold. I am always fond of warm drinks when I am sick, so teas rate high with me. Water is good too, or heat up some juice or cider. Honey, lemon juice, and hot water is good if your throat is sore.

I would think Vicks would be OK. Does your hospital have a nurse hotline you could call and ask about the Vicks? and your other symptoms?

I hope you feel better soon!

Three words: CALL YOUR DOCTOR. Your doctor knew going into it that they would get calls from patients, nights, weekends and holidays. You need to put yourself first right now. Get well so you can enjoy your new bundle of joy.
Congratulations on your upcoming arrival.

I agree! Call your doctor or at the very least the advice nurse at your local hospital. Chest on fire could be indication of pneumonia and an antibiotic will help. It's also possible to get a different cough medicine. Spinning doesn't sound good.

Now is also the time to enlist the help of friends and/or family to help take care of your toddler while bringing you chicken soup. They'll want to help.

Gargle with warm salt water.
It's safe to take Tylenol.
Use throat lozengers, like the Swiss ones with natural herbs and Vit.C., or ones with Zinc.
Add several drops of Tea Tree Oil to a vaporizer or pot of gently boiling water and place towel of your head and breath in.

My favorite homemade cough medicine, I've made it for years:

Boil together for 30 minutes in 2 cups chamomile and peppermint tea:

Several crushed Eucalyptus leaves
5 Tblsp Local Honey - to taste
Juice of 1 large lemon or 2 limes, with about 1/4 of the zest diced and added
1 cinnamon stick

Strain, cool and store in a glass jar in the frig. It is totally natural and safe and helps with sore throats like yours.

Hope you feel better soon.
Congrats on your new baby.
