Does anyone know a good hairstylist in Pleasanton? I am looking for someone skilled with curly hair, preferably someone who cuts hair while its dry. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I drive all the way to Pleasanton from Fremont to go to Kathy Sinai at A Unique Affect salon on Rosewood (across from Kohls in the Walmart shopping center).

Hello S.,

I can also recommend Fusion 3 Salon in Pleasanton. As a matter of fact, I just went there today and their hours/days are so flexible.

There are two levels of stylists (use to be three): new talent (wonderful prices!) and advanced. I personally like the new talents to ease my pocketbook. Included with your haircut is also a stress relieving scalp and shoulder massage and a hand lotion massage. You can find their prices and more information on their website http://www.fusion3salonspa.com.

Sorry, I don't know about who is great with curly hair or the cutting dry hair. I'm sure you could call and ask who would be best for your hair and if they'll cut while it's dry.

Good luck finding someone you like, L.

I've been really happy with the services I've recieved at Fusion 3 Salon Spa [722 Main St., Pleasanton, CA 94566 ###-###-####]. It's a little adjustment because they are a staff salon, so you might not always have the same stylist each time(though you can request the same stylist). Also, I have straight hair, so I can't speak to that. However, all of that said, I'd be surprised if they didn't have a few folks with curly hair expertise. They do great with color and cuts and their service is very friendly. The environment is great, too. The trade-off for not always having the same stylist for me is, I benefit from slightly different perspectives of stylists and the scheduling availability is fantastic. They are open 7 days a week and my last appointment was at 7:15 on a weekday morning. Great for busy moms!

I know a great hairstylist in Pleasanton. Her name is Muriel Kandler and she works at Garrett and Company. 243 Main Street, Ste. F. She was even able to give my 2 year old son an adorable haircut while he was squirming in the seat! I'm not sure about whether she can cut it dry, but I'm sure you could ask. Her # is ###-###-####.
