I'm new to the area and looking for a good hairstylist with good accurate cutting skills preferably for longer curly hair. As a former hairstylist, I'm pretty picky about an accurate cut and not someone that rushes you in and out. I will pay a fair amount, but would like to find someone affordable.
On Roswell road at the East Lake Shopping center there is a salon that is right next to the pizza shope. I went there while in college and they were fabuolous. They are a teaching salon, but you can make an appointment with one of the owners, they are a husband and wife team. I don't remember the name of the salon....but it is right there next to Marshell and across the street from Kroger on Roswell road east of the loop.

I am not sure where you are located in Marietta, but I go to a salon off of East Piedmont called Attitudes Salon. I have been going to the same stylist for 6 years, and have been very happy with the way she cuts my hair. She charges $30 for just the cut. I usually shampoo my hair right before I go in to save time.

Van Michael New Talents Salon in either Buckhead or Sandy Springs. Van Michael hires only talented, well trained sylist. They make all of their "New Talent" go through a training program before moving to the main floor. I have used several different New Talent stylists and paid only $25 - $35 for a cut and blow dry and never been dissatisfied.
Buckhead and Sandy Springs are both a good 20 minute drive from Marietta, but I think it is worth it. Make sure to ask for an appointment with a "New Talent".
ps. I also have been to Saige for my color, I do not recommend her. She gave me baaaaad streaks 2 weeks before my wedding! Sorry Lauren G, may have just been a bad day for Saige. Van Michael set me up with someone to correct it.

Hi, I don't know if Atlanta is too far too drive, or $50.00 is too much, but the Van Michael in Sandy Springs is great and I go to Jenny, who herself has long curly hair, so I am sure she should do a great job. I am really picky and have been pleased. I go to Saige for my color.

While I cannot recommend a specific stylist for your type of hair, if you call or stop in and tell them what you want, I am sure they can get you connected with a great stylist. This is a very professional and fashion-forward salon. They are very affordable, too, if you select a less senoir stylist. William has cut my hair in the past.

I go to Elon Salon off of Canton and Piedmont. I also have curly hair and I know the pain off finding a good stylist who knows how to cut curly hair. I see Emily Bruce. She is great! Hope this helps! :)
