Hi S.,
I am an LA based photographer specializing in babies, children and family portraits. I work with natural light and strive for the candid, real expressions in the family. I often find that in the studio the looks are much more posed which is a completely different feel. My website is just under construction right now, but I would love to e-mail you some of my recent images so you can see the kind of pictures I'm referring to.
My rates are very competitive as I am just starting out and still developing my book. I'm a Hancock Park mom of 2 and this is my second career.

I have always had great pictures taken at the Target Picture Studio in Pasadena. Most of my friends are shocked when I tell them they were done at Target. I highly recommend them. The last set I got was approx $250, and I got many photos with a few specialty photos.

Hi S.. I've just been taking my girls to PicturePeople. They're all over the place, mostly in malls. If you want a more expensive, more professional setting, try Linea Linkus in South Pasadena. If I could afford them, it would be worth going there. Good luck!

I don't know of a studio but recommend an amazing photographer that I use for my kids. Her name is Trish Reda and she travels to your house and shoots kids in their natural element. Or she can go to a park, beach etc. if you prefer. Check her ____@____.com specializes in child photography and only uses natural light. I have used her twice and I'm looking to use her again in the fall. I even had her do my Christmas cards one year and I received a load of compliments. As a result, several of my friends have also used her. You won't be disappointed. If you do call her, tell her V. from Altadena referred you.
