I am not sold on my family's current dentist and am looking for a new dentist who people just LOVE and RAVE about. We had the best dentist when we lived in FL and I am hoping to find one here like that. I am looking for a dentist who is also well skilled in cosmetic dentistry and preferably one who I can use for my whole family to see - kids included. Please let me know if you have a fabulous dentist - if they are that good, I will even drive further to see them. I prefer a solo dentist or very small practice - not one that has multiple dentists on staff. Thanks so much! A.

This is a husband & wife operation, it's top notch and they don't try to take all your money like those corp. type places do.
I just moved here last June and we go to Windermere Dental with Dr. Ryan Edwards. He is very nice and knowledgable and his staff is very friendly as well. His wife, Carrie, is at the front desk. We love our dentists! My dentist's name is Dr. Powell and he is in Cumming. Here's the website: http://www.powellfamilydentistry.net/ He does see kids, but I am not sure at what age he will start seeing them. (I have not seen any younger than probably 4 or 5 in his office). My children see a pediatric dentist that I just love. I take the kids to Windward Pediatric Dentistry in Alpharetta (ironically they are not off Windward, but very near Cumming). It is a husband and wife that run the practice. They have 3 small kids and are great with kids. My children love going to the dentist and they are only 1.5 and 3.5. Our family goes to Goldstein, Garber and Salama. They are excellent. They literally have 'written the book' on cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Goldstein pioneered cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Salama is an orthodontist/periodontist and Dr. Garber is a sought after speaker and university lecturer in the field.
I would suggest going to see either Dr. Garber or Dr. Maha there. They will refer you if needed to anyone else on staff.
They are located near the Galleria Mall at Cobb Parkway and 285. They are well worth the drive.
An excellent orthodontist in Alpharetta is Dr. James Awbrey.
Hello~ I've refered my Dentist many time and all have been very happy. We've been going to him since 2000. I took my son along to my appts. and when it was time for his dental visits it worked out. He's nine now. This Dentist works by himself, great friendly staff and has always helped in any crisis. Hope you'll look him up and if so, let him know I refered you. I don't get anything, just want him to know his great.
