Ok ladies, I'm having a friend over today and she's bringing her 3yr old, I have a 4yr old both girls. We're having a princess lunch. My question is What should I make that is girly and princessy? I'm putting a snack bag together and using a clothes pin to make it look like a butterfly for them to have before lunch. I have to pick my daughter up from preschool right before they come so I figured they could have a snack while I make their princess lunch. Was also thinking of picking up some strawberry flavor for their milk so they have pink milk. Any other ideas? TIA

What can I do next?

I would do little sandwiches cut out into hearts or butterflies or something depending on your cookie cutters. Strawberry milk sounds good, but I also like a little sparkling apple cider with a few frozen raspberries dropped in or strawberry smoothies. Fruit tray with strawberry yogurt dip. Strawberry yogurt covered pretzels.

And I second using fancy plates and cups, that's probably more important than the food.

How about finger sandwiches (pb &J) cut small or use a cookie cutter for fun shapes. Do your girls have a tea party set? They can use them to eat from like little princesses.

I would bring out the pretty teacups and fancy plates, if you have them.
Put out a pretty tablecloth, some fresh flowers and candles (skip the candles if you won't be eating with them.)
Make a tray of mini sandwiches--PB&J, egg salad, ham and cheese, whatever you like--along with some fresh fruit. For dessert make another tray of cookies. If your daughter has a toy tea set perhaps the girls could invite a doll or bear to the party :)
Have fun!
