I am going to have a birthday party for my 7 year old son but I can't decide on where to have it at. I have a few ideas in mind but I'm just not sure of where to go that the kids would have the most fun...Chuck E Cheese (is this too babyish for 7 year olds?), Putt Putt (would 7 year olds know how to do the Go-Karts?), Jumping Party (again would this be too babyish?). This would also be my first time throwing a birthday party like this. What if we reserve the party and none or most don't show up? Then I just lose all the money I spent on the party expecting all these kids? I know that's what an RSVP is for but I've had friends throw parties and not receive an RSVP from people and then those people just show up like they did RSVP...I just am not really sure of what or how to do this. If any of you Moms have any advice please let me know. I'd really appreciate it and out of those places which in your opinion do you think would best suit 7 year old boys?

Thanks so much!
Steph

PS~ I would have the party at my place but I live in a very small apartment.

What can I do next?

No need to stress! It's just a birthday party. What do kids want to do most? Have fun. Most parents just want to relax. So, rent a bounce house & have it at your house. Order pizza, let the kids play while you & the other moms hang-out. Set up a water sprinkler too. No obnoxious music, giant rat (Chuck E.), blaring sounds, bright lights, lost tickets, coins, tokens, coupons - everybody just has fun hanging out! Simple, easy, cheaper, too.

S. M.,
You may consider a Noah's Ark Animal Workshop Party. Look at this website www.makeyourownstuffedanimal.com.

Warm regards,

I have two really great suggestions. First of all The Ft. Worth Zoo! It's 185.00 for the party. They have a party room you get for two hours. (I brought a crockpot full of hotdogs and served hot dogs and chips) You get a live animal show which isn't all that great because the kiddos can't touch the animals. But..........Then everyone in your party get's free tickets to the zoo so they can stay for the rest of the day.

We had some kids not show up and we just gave the extra tickets away. Everyone had a great time.

You get 30 tickets for adults and children for free admission.

There is a downside which is everyone has to pay the 5.00 for parking. Yuck

But it was a lot of fun !

My second suggestion is Emler swim school. that was 215.00 for 25 kids and one lifeguard or you can pay 235.00 and have two lifeguards and up to 50 kiddos. (Parents don't count on this party)
(I ordered pizza in) You get a party room for two hours after everyone swims. It's a heated pool indoors and they have a rock climbing wall inside the pool.
With the two lifeguards the parents were able to relax and have a good time too!

I hope this helps.

I would suggest the Incredible Pizza in Euless. It has lots of stuff for the kids and if you don't want to rent the party room, you don't have to, just pay for the kids to eat and get there and setup a table to use. They have lots of room int he theme rooms. It really is a cool place. They have an indoor racetrack, mini bowling, mini golf, lots of cool games and pizza, pasta buffet and lots more.. My kids loved it!!!
