Hello ladies!!

I am sure you can help me here. I am looking for suggestions and ideas for my 7yr old boy's birthday party. He has been so good, and he is having excellent grades at school so, I would like to know about places where I can have a party for my kid and his friends on May. To be honest, I am not sure if I can handle 10 or 15 kids at home. I usually do everything by myself because I do not have family in the city, and my husband works a lot. If I do not find a place I like, I would like to have a clown at his b/party in case we have it at home, but that is my last alternative!

I hope you have some suggestions, address or ph nbrs. please!!!
Thanks you all in advance!
Alejandra

My 7 year old twin boys had bowling party in January at our local bowling alley, which they and their guests thoroughly enjoyed. You did not mention where in Indy you lived, but the yellow pages should provide you with a few options. Be sure to ask about birthday packages, duck pin bowling, and/or bumpers. Birthday packages can include lane fees, shoes, and possibly some food and drink items.

Another idea we considered was Caribbean Cove Water Park (the water park inside the Holiday Inn). They have several options, including those that provide a birthday cake and treat bags. One thing to note though is that they only do parties Sunday-Thursday from 4-10 p.m. This option was out for us because our party would have had to have been on Superbowl Sunday, but it might work well for you. H.'s more information on available packages: http://www.caribbeancovewaterpark.com/birthday_parties.php

Although it was "out of season" for us, you might want to try the Indianapolis Zoo. They provide admission and parking, certain tickets, and goodie bags for "in season" birthday parties; they also have add-on options available, but you have to provide your own cake. "In season" parties start in April: http://www.indyzoo.com/content.aspx?cid=410

My kids absolutely love the Children's Museum, so that might be yet another option for you. They provide admission, carousel tickets, and themed place settings for the birthday party and have meal options available for an additional cost. H.'s more about that: http://www.childrensmuseum.org/rentals/birthday.htm

Hope this helps!

Where do you live?

In Noblesville, Recreation Unlimited is a good place for parties. It's a store that sells outdoor wooden playsets, cabins/playhouses, basketball hoops, etc. The showroom is setup with over a dozen playsets and playhouses. You rent a party room for the food and cake and let the kids run wild around the showroom for 2 hours playing on all the slides, swings, climbing up forts, etc.

On the southside of Indy is Great Time Fun Park (or something like that). They have mini-golf, bumper boats, go-karts, arcade, etc.

A park like Forest Park in Noblesville is good. There are hiking trails, playgrounds, etc. Also located in Forest Park is the Indiana Train Museum (think that's the name) and they do birthday parties. They have restored trains that go on short excursions.

The Indy Zoo, Children's Museum and Conner Prairie all have birthday party packages, too.

I had my son's birthday party at Chuck E Cheese's when he turned 7. He had a blast. However, don't believe the price that they tell you it will cost because they charge for every little thing they do at your party. It ended up costing around 250.00 and that has been almost 7 years ago. It was worth it, though. He had the best time and so did his friends.

We had a bowling party for our 6 year old and the kids LOVED it. It ended up being around 11$ per kid but that included the games, shoes and food. There are alleys that give discounts too for larger groups. The parents dropped the kids off and my husband and I both supervised a lane of kids. We all had a really great time. GOOD LUCK!!

There's a place off of SR37 in Fishers called Ben and Ari's they have putt-putt and games and i think go-carts. the number is ###-###-#### and web www.benandari.com if you want to check it out.

Also there's that semi-new indoor water park at the Holiday Inn Express off of Michigan road by 465. That would be cool too!
