I have a foam mattress I bought from The Mattress Dr in Tampa. It does what it says, it conforms to my body shape, and it is comfortable to an extent. HOWEVER, since it is a foam mattress it absorbs & retains my body heat and I remain hot even though I have the A/C on 65 and a fan blowing on me.
Does anyone have better luck with their mattresses? Any local merchants you recommend?
I LOVE my select comfort mattress. It was a blessing during my pregnancy. I usually prefer a softer mattress. However, during my pregnancy, I was able to increase the support I needed to help with the hip/back pain I experienced.
Select Comfort is very popular with pregnant moms, people with back problems, and each person gets to set their own number. I know there is a store in Tyrone Mall but you could check any mattress store I think. They are really popular. there is a post on mammasource from some time during the year where other mom's commented on them. It's worth looking at. Most people like them, but there are some things to look out for. So look at the post before you decide. Good luck! Congrats on your second!!
Sleep Number worked for me & my Hubby. You get your own control for your side. We each set our own # and slept great. Pricey but, worth it. I think he got it at Clearwater Mattress.

I have a Serta pillow top, and I adore it. I saw both pillow and eurotop mattresses available at Sam's Club. I know this sounds low class, but I kid you not, a Serta pillow top with at least 300 count cotton sheets is like manna from heaven. My teen sons will come and lay on my bed because it is the MOST comfortable in the house.
