Hi, I am in need of some ideas for where to have my "baby" sister's baby shower. I want it to be very nice but not to overdone. Planning on anywhere form 40 - 50 people. Does any one have any ideas, from banquet locations, restaurants with private rooms, or even a nice historic house used for private parties even if I need to bring a caterer in I am willing. I am looking any where in Oakland or Macomb counties. Thank you soooo much for your suggestions.

What can I do next?

I had my son's baptism at the Cutting Board in Warren on Schoenner and 12 mile road for about 45 people. It was very reasonably priced and the food was really good. I also went to a baby shower there a couple of months ago and they had a brunch option, which was also nice. Good luck.

What about just renting a church hal? I know 1st Methodist of Troy rents, not sure the price though. You could call around to other churches and see the price. Then you could just have it catered in a small way or have friends bring food and do it yourself. Or perhaps a friend can rent a trailer park or condo large meeting space.

My aunts own a Lebanese restaurant on 19 and Garfield. Its called Brigettes Cafe. Its a great place and they always have baby showers, baptisms, and wedding showers. And my aunt makes different things besides lebanese food and everything is great. The number is ###-###-#### and her name is Miriam!! Good Luck!

Hi M.,

Have you thought about the Gazebo on Mound? by the GM Tech Ctr? I had my high-school graduation party there, bridal shower there and my baby shower there. It's economical and really a nice place for a shower. Nice light colors, etc... the food has always been very good and the display lovely.

Good Luck!
