Halls for Rent on the Eastside

I'm helping organize a friend of mine's baby shower and we are hoping to find a hall for rent (with tables and chairs included, and preferably a kitchen too!) in the Roseville/Warren/Clinton Twp. area. We're on a very strict budget, and are expecting about 40-50 people (maybe less). For food we are thinking of having sandwich-type foods available with a cake or cookies for dessert, so catering isn't necessary.

Last March, my baby shower was held at the Roseville Recreation Center and recently their prices went up (and we were not happy with them anyway) so we'd like to stay away from there. Any other ideas?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you everyone! We've decided to go with Olive Garden. The price is right (about $8 per person, including drinks and dessert) and who doesn't love Olive Garden? Thanks so much for the input!

Hello,
I had my shower at Dimitri Rendevous on Gratiot between 15 & 16, it was nice, pretty well priced.
Other eastside showers I have been to were at Rogers Roost on Schonnehr(sp), Mac&Rays in Harrison Twp., Sajo's in Clinton Twp (one in Roseville too).
Good luck!

I recommend Zuccaro's at 16 & Groeseck; Tiramasu at 16 & VanDyke; Sajjo's at Moravian & Garfield (there's also one at Gratiot by Macomb Mall but I'm not sure if they have a banquet room), and Ukranian Cultural Center at Ryan and 11 mile. I love the Concorde Inn at Gratiot and Hall Road, but you can't bring your own food in (except cake).

We had my son's 1st birthday party at the American Legion hall on Utica Road south of 12 Mile, in Roseville. It's not far from the Roseville Rec Center. I believe it cost $60/hour.

We didn't have to set anything up and they said we didn't need to clean up (although we still did!). They had all the table and chairs along with a kitchen.

My cousin owns a restaurant on 14.5 & Vandyke called the Heights. They have a private room in the back that should hold up to 60 people. You should go check it out. Let them know M. sent you. His name is Ray and his wife's name is Marcie. The number is ###-###-####. It is a lovely room and the price is the best i've seen. And I'm not just saying that cauce it's family... it truly is the best price for a shower. Before they opened I looked for a venue for my sister's shower and couldn't find anything under 11.00 a person until The Heights opened. Check it out. And I believe that for a flat fee you can just rent the room... but I think once you see the price for a meal you might consider going that way too. Good Luck to you.

Do either of you regularly attend church? That's where I usually do mine. Also, Kranks catering is great and they have a place of their own or can bring the food to you.

um I would try the rec center in Warren. Also theres the Brewry resturant on Haise in clinton township. They have a back room that holds 50 people and they have good food and resonably priced. Theres also a knights of columbus hallon 15 and ryan they always looking to rent out. My daughter does dance class there during the winter. They I am sure resonable there is too the polish century club on 14 and hoover. I don't know how much you want to spend and all theres some options heres one more try your local church they usually ask for a donation.
