I had a few drops of blood on toilet paper and then didnt have any more so i decided to see if it was maybe not coming from my vagina. I grabbed a mirror and all around my vagina is purple and was wondering if that is normal or if I should call Labor and delivery?
Your doctor is there, for any question you have. Just all the office, and the on call nurse will get back to you. No harm in calling, just to be sure.

Lot of blood flowing through that area during pregnancy, so tissues are purple.
Totally normal.
Sounds strange, and frankly, I'd call L&D or your on-call doctor.
I'd call the ob too...are you cramping at all? Could be the start of labor. That's exactly what happened to me with my 2nd, at 37 weeks. Overnight I started bleeding then started cramping and delivered my baby at 1 pm the next day. :-)
