I just want to know if anyone has indeed lost weight with Wii Fit. What worked well and what didn't using the Wii Fit? Or is it more of just a fun game to play rather than a fitness tool?

My family started the Wii Fit this weekend. While I cant say I have lost weight in two days I can say that I can feel it after the workout. I love the fact that it doesnt seem like exercising. I'd rather do 30 minutes of super hula hoop that 30 minutes of the treadmill!

If you use if regularly you can definitely lose weight using wii fit. my husband has been using it and has been losing weight using it. if he doesn't wnat to do teh strenght training he'll still do the running in place execises and that still gives him a good work out. plus it is pretty fun. i do the yoga exercises on it, and love it. good luck.

You bet! You have to be consistant. After 3 weeks people were asking me if I was loosing weight. I even love the free-style step aerobics. You can watch TV while you step and Wii counts for you.

This is something for the whole family. My 3 yr old and 20 month old don't want to watch TV anymore, they want to box or jog on Wii fit. We all jog together. It's money well spent. Even my husband is into it and has become a 'game' that our guests love to play on as well. We spend a lot of time laughing as well as exercising.

We've only had it for 2 weeks. I haven't lost any weight yet. I have noticed that I have LOTS of extra energy on days that I do it. My balance and posture have improved (my husband LOVES this).

If I miss even one day, I notice I have less energy. My husband even likes the yoga. (That is sooo not him)

I've heard that people get bored of it after a while. I don't think this will happen to me and my family.

I got a Wii Fit this summer. I was working out on it for like 45 minutes a day while the eldest played outside and the youngest took a nap.

I was making improvement. My weight wasn't dropping off like mad, but I was getting rid of some and I was toning. I felt better. Also, an advantage for me - I HATE working out and as this is a game, it was never really a "workout" in my mind. (I play these little "head games" with myself!)

I think you can use it as a fitness tool. It's a good fitness thing for me because I hate going to the gym, and I honestly don't like to work out. I was working mostly on aerobic and balance. I LOVE the boxing! My arms hurt after starting that, but then I totally got into it and did that lots! And because the Wii Fit tracks your progress, I could see improvement in my balance. My weight was going down, but not by leaps and bounds. And then I got pregnant so I quit. But as #3 is due April 16, I plan to start using the Wii Fit again as soon as I'm able. And, I can't wait!

We don't own one...yet. But I think we're going to get one after borrowing a friend's. I like that you can track your weight, progress and goals in a personalized setting there. You can set a goal and the fit will tell you whether it's reasonable or not. The games are fun while improving balance, coordination and overall fitness. I think there are faster and more efficient ways of losing weight or getting fit, but this one is definitely fun if you're looking for casual and fun instead of quick and intense. Good luck!

I don't know if I have lost weight, but it helps me have more energy to excercise, so it has really been great! It's fun for the family too.

We got a wii fit this christmas and you do notice improvement of energy and you can totally feel the toning part. What I like about is that when you are using you don't feel the strain or that you are doing anything, but later you can feel that you have done something to your muscles. Just try to stick with it everyday cause I stopped for a few days and haven't done it in a long time. You can also buy other games for it like Jillian's from the biggest loser. I think I need to try that one.lol
