Mamapedia makes me lazy, I've stopped doing my own research because it's more fun to ask you guys and get responses. I"m a litlte lacking in companionship today.

Anyhow, a little twist on an earlier question, does WII make excerice games or Dance party type games that are fun and might aid in weightloss.

thanks

What can I do next?

Okay, I know you specified FUN, but there is a great program for Wii called My Fitness Coach that is fantastic. It's not a game, but it is a good program for fitness and weight loss. I've been using it daily for almost a full year and am not bored with it because, being a computer program instead of a DVD, it is never the same workout twice.

Wii Fit... with balance board, it an exercise thing. It is fun. It is made to be fun.
It also has in it, your own personal weight loss chart. You can weigh yourself and see how you are doing etc.
Every person in the family, can do that. Each having their own profile.

But like anything, it only works if you do it.

We bought Dance Dance Revolution for our Wii for our daughters birthday last year. It is fun and if you do both the arms and legs you can get a pretty good work out.

We have Dance Dance Revolution, Wii Fit, and Activelife Extreme Challenge. I like Wii Fit the best, because it has yoga moves, aerobic exercises, and games. Sadly, I hardly ever use the Wii at all, because someone would have to set the tv and stereo to the right channels first.....

We went to a friend's house who had Dance Dance Revolution and both the adults and the kids got up and danced like crazy. We had a blast and laughed and just plain had a good time. No sitting around playing cards at that party!!

We have the wii fit plus that has some fun games and exercises on it. Also, Just Dance 2 has a section called Just Sweat, that I do for exercise. It will make you work up a good sweat! I've lost 25 pounds doing both of them. Good luck!!

Wii Fit is lots of fun. Even if you play the easier games that use less energy, I figure it's better than sitting on the couch watching TV or playing a sedentary game. My hubby and I used to play together after the kids were in bed, and it was a good time. We've since gotten into other games that aren't as active, but we're due to pull Wii Fit back out again.

Another game that's fun for the kids (and exhausting for me!) is Outdoor challenge. You play the games using a mat, and they have jump rope and some others that are pretty tough. My husband and I are usually left panting after a couple rounds. :-)

My husband wanted a Wii and got me Wii Fit in order to convince me that I wanted to keep it. And I will admit I had fun with it. Wii Fit holds you accountable and if you gain weight you will feel guilty, you also will feel guilty for missing days. But I had fun with it. You can choose what you want to do-Aerobics, yoga and I can't remember what the other two categories are. I believe one is balance (which I suck at). But I had a lot of fun.

I also loved the Wii Sports. I would run across my living room when I play tennis and baseball and I would yell at the little miis because my baseball team sucks. I also enjoyed the boxing so if you really get into it you can get a good work out.

I have a few other games that I like I just can't think of them. At the moment my wii is collecting dust because I am pregnant again and have been put on limited activity but I am looking forward to getting back to it after the baby is born.

My wife bought Wii for the fitness games and program. We both use it and it works. It works best if you use it, but it does work. ;~))

Good luck to you and yours.

I have every game system. Between the Wii and XBOX Kinect, the XBOX Kinect is WAY better. If you can afford it, I would spend the money on that. You can purchase it as a bundle. Maybe look for deals on Black Friday. The Dance Central game is so much fun! And the Zumba one is good too.
