Good Dentist in the Burnsville or Surrounding Area?

Hi, Moms...

My hubby and I moved to the area about a year ago, and we need to find a good dentist. We have recommendations from my parents in Hastings--so, if we don't find someone closer, we'll drive over there. I had a bad experience with a dentist as a kid, but then have had awesome dentists since then. So, I am leary of simply choosing one without a personal recommendation. My last dentists were wonderful--very gentle and thorough. We'd be looking for someone around the Burnsville area, though could do Shakopee (hubby's office is there) or one of the other suburbs close by (apple valley, savage, eagan). Any suggestions? Thanks so much, and Happy Thanksgiving!
Be blessed :)

V.,
I love my Dentist. The office is called Smiles of Distinction and they are located on CR 42 in Savage. The staff are wonderful, very good with kids (I take my twin son and daughter there), and Dr. Schultz is very gentle and thorough. They do sedation dentistry there and everything else too. The phone # is ###-###-####, and the address is 4300 Egan Dr. By the way, I drive all the way from St. Paul just to go to see Dr. Schultz, that's how good he is. Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions. M.

I can't recommend Heart of the City Dental (http://www.heartofthecitydental.com/) to enough people. They used to be called Schulz Family Dental. I happened upon them years ago during a dental emergency when I called 1-800-DENTIST and I've been seeing them ever since...probably almost ten years now.

I also had a fear of dentists. They are just awesome there. Very kind, gentle, plenty of nitrous and novocaine if you need it. They'll even give you nitrous during your cleanings if you like. There are three dentists: a father, his daughter and her best friend. They all rock :)

Seriously -- I could go on and on, they're just great...and located right in Burnsville. Good luck! I'd be happy to try and answer any other questions you might have about them.

We love love love Dr. Dave Elgethun at Denistry for Children and Adolescents in Edina. He is the third one I tried when my daughter had a problem at 18 months. They are so kind and gentle with my kids that I drive 40 minutes to go there.

I go to ParkDental part of Park Nicollet in Eagan. I totally don't know my dentist's name I should be he's younger, cute,(had to ad that) and super duper friendly. The dental hygentist are really nice and friendly too. I've been going there for probaly 7-8 years and have no problems.

For my daughter I take her to Metropolitan Pediatric Dental in Eagan and have no problems there either.

I've liked Dr. Tim Nielsen in Apple Valley. ###-###-####. It is a very small office--just Dr. Nielsen and one employee. His office doesn't have a lot of fancy decor, but all up to date dental technology. He is soft spoken and gentle. They are open late on Thursdays, but closed Fridays. Regular hours M-W. Good luck.
