I need daycare in September. My baby will be 5 1/2 months. I work part-time downtown and in Rodgers Park. I live around North & Western. I've only been in Chicago a short time. I don't have any connections here. Right now, my neighbor is taking care of her. She will be returning to work. Thank you for any help you can give me.

What can I do next?

Hello, I currently use a licensed home daycare located near Division and Western (which is not too far from you at all). My son is one year old and he has been there since he was six weeks old. Millie is very affordable. I use her full-time and her rate is $150/week. I don't worry at all when I'm at work and I like the home daycare (vs a center) since it's more individualized. I found this home daycare through the Action for Children Council. Please feel free to email me for more information.

I live in Rogers Park and I do daycare - I will be watching one or two kids in my home in September. I would love to talk and see if we are a good fit for childcare arrangements for your baby. I do provide baby cereal (but not fruit/veggies) to any babies I care for. They bring what solids they want their baby to be fed. As for diapers, I also do not provide them. I am clean, nurturing, and have a masters in early childhood. I taught 12 years in early childhood and now just tutor and teach on Sundays. I do the childcare thing everyday pretty much, though. Just varies for each kid, which hours. We have manipulatives and a warm neighborhood with a enclosed park nearby and a yard full of toys. I know your baby is little yet but before you blink she won't be. I would love to discuss things further if you're interested.
