Welcome to mamapedia!!

So you are coming to America to have a baby - let it have American citizenship and the benefits of being an American citizen?? Okay!

What insurance do you have?
Where are you coming from?

A quick google search turned up a LOT of links.

What? you mean that free Canadian health care doesn't seem like a value when it comes to the birth of your child? How shocking.

Can you give us a little more info about your plans? Are you coming here specifically to have your baby? Are you going to be visiting someone in a particular area or are you or your spouse working in a specific area? If so, tell us so we can narrow the geographic area . Michigan is a huge state - if you're going to be in Grand Rapids or The Upper Peninsula, it's not going to help at all if you get recommendations in Detroit.

Where are you coming from and what insurance do you already have?

You're new to Mamapedia - so as a helpful suggestion, let me advise you to either edit your question (If you write "ETA" it means "Edited To Add" and you can add new info) OR click on "So What Happened" and put your added details there.

The way you've worded it is just too vague for anyone to be helpful - which is partly why some people assumed you are Canadian and wanting to achieve citizenship for your baby. It would help if you clarified what you're looking for and where you're going to be.

The billed price of my c section was about $28,000, my VBAC was about $11,000. Unmedicated, so go figure how they racked up those charges. The prices vary widely based on type of delivery. Many midwives operate on a sliding scale.
