Hello Creative Mama's,

I am looking for a cute rhyme/wording for a birthday invitation. My husband is turning 40 and my son is turning 4. We are inviting approximately 30 friends and family to our home for their double party. It is not a surprise party but I would like to include both in the invite! My husband's name is Jeff/Jeffrey and my son's name is Gabriel. Our theme is going to be baseball. Thanks so much!

So What Happened?

Creative Mama's! THANK YOU for all your help! I went ahead with a double the fun, double the party invite from Walgreens actually. Its' cute and had room to include 2 photos. The template included green and blue vertical stripes that I will use to tie into my baseball theme and I closed the invite with the wording "40 and 4 never looked so good!"

I love your ideas of tying in 40, 4 and the years 1973 and 2009. I plan to have some of the fun age themed games, ideas as mentioned by a creative mama! THANK YOU again for your quick and witty brainstorming!! Very impressed with mamapedia!!!
Many thanks again, Y. :)

Come help celebrate 1973's and 2009's season MVPs celebrate their Allstar years....Jeff #40 and Gabriel #4.

Then list when, where, and rsvp inf...(added thought) to keep with the theme) "First pitch at "insert time and place". Please order your tickets by "add rsvp date" and they will be held at the door".

Welcome to mamapedia!!

That's gonna be a hard party....having 4 year olds with 40 year olds...complicated...possible but complicated....

Tom and John are celebrating!
The years have gone by so fast...

Please come and help celebrate Tom into his 40's and John into his 4th year...

Sorry...can't come up with anything cute and rhyming right now...

I would need to know where you are having the party
What the theme is
How many people you are expecting...
Without knowing any of this - it would be VERY hard for me to come up with something fun and catchy!

good luck~!

What about including the phrases "double header" and/or "double play"?

What about a lust of "4 vs. 40"?
Under "4": Lincoln logs, Chef Boyardee, Garanimals, Fruit Loops, Flintstones vitamins...
Under "40": conference calls, Brooks Brothers, sushi, Centrum Silver, Fiber O. cereal....

You get the idea!
