Any Way to Get Ink Stain Out of Marble?

My son got ahold of my return address stamp and used it all over the house (table, chairs, doors, walls, etc.) The only place I can't get it off is on the fireplace surround, which is white marble tile. It came off of the surface, but it seems as though some of the ink was absorbed into the marble.

Anyone know of anything that will likewise penetrate the marble and maybe lessen the appearance of the ink?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I soaked a cotton square in peroxide and let it sit on the area for a while. I do think it lessened the appearance but it's not entirely gone. Thanks for all the help!

Well, if you don't have any Sol-U-Mel, which is the best.......I would try using goo gone......or even rubbing alcohol......

Good Luck and let us know what you found that worked.....

you could try making a paste out of a laundry enzyme I use. Might work. Do you have the capability to let it sit there on it in a liquid form for a few minutes. let me know if I can help.

Sol-U-Mel is the best stain remover I have ever used. It is also non-toxic.

I have heard that a cut cucumber rubbed on the ink spotted area will remove the ink. I don't know about on marble but I don't think it could hurt and you might get lucky. LOL

You're going to need to bleach the marble because you're right: it has absorbed into it.

Use hydrogen peroxide, to start --just dab it on and let it sit for a few hours. If that doesn't work, talk to your marble supplier to find out what else might work. Don't use chlorine bleach 'cause it will yellow.
