I accidently threw my clothes into the dryer with a brand new inkpen, and didnt know. Its a brand new washer and dryer so i'm pretty upset. The pen exploded and basically coated the entire inside and cooked on because of the heat. What can i do to get it off? Has anyone had this happen?

What can I do next?

My husband has done this to 2 brand new dryers. I never did get the ink out but it didn't seem to bother the clothes after the heat baked it on the dryer. Wet an old towel and dry it on the hottest setting. It will get whatever ink would be getting on your next drying load. You might also try a Mr. Clean magic eraser. I tried several cleaning products and nothing seemed to work for me but did not try the magic eraser on them and don't have those dryers now to try it.

Hello,

I recommend a product called Sol-U-Mel.
http://www.saferforyourhome.com/dSol-U-Mel is the world's best stain remover!
My husband and I own several high-rise condominium units which we rent out. When one of our units was vacated, we put in brand new carpet before the next tenants moved in. After only one year, they decided it was time for them to move again. My husband and I were heart-broken when we saw all the dirty spots and stains still on the carpet, especially the dining area, that had just been "professionally cleaned." We knew we would never be able to rent it with the carpet still so dirty and soiled.

After returning home to discuss the possible solutions for the unit, we decided to try the Sol-U-Mel on the stains to see if it would come clean. I used the diluted Sol-U-Mel in the spray bottle, let it sit for a few minutes....and the stains came right out! For a few tougher stains in the dining area I used the Sol-U-Mel full strength, and those spots came right out as well. And, there was no fading or damage to the carpet from using the Sol-U-Mel diluted or full-strength. We were very excited when we saw the finished results of using this product. The carpet looked almost brand new again! We rented it out within a few days of putting an ad in the newspaper.
