Baby's Growth Rate

Hi All, I just got back from my sons doctors appointment (regular 4 mo check up) and I am worried that my son is not developing at an appropriate rate. My doctor is not concerned as he believes each child is an individual and doesn't agree with growth charts as long as a child is gaining in length/weight appropriately. I agree with that line of thinking, but my son is above average in length, slightly below average in weight, and way below average in head circumference. The last one is what worries me. He is in the 5th percentile for head...

Weaning from Bottle

My pediatrician told me at my sons 9 month visit that it was time to start weaning him from the bottle. He said to start putting 1 bottle a day in a cup or sippy cup and gradually wean off of all bottles by the time he's 1. He's obviously not having it. Any tips or advice? I don't want him to miss out on nutrition. He's been drinking water from a sippy cup for months but isn't interested in the formula and gets very upset. He also won't finger feed. He's been on purees and cereals since 4 months old but if any SOLID food enters his mouth he...

Curves During Pregnancy

I was curious if anyone does or has done Curves during pregnancy? I just started going back because of having a HORRIBLE first trimester with feeling sick 24/7. I'm 16 weeks and finally feeling better. My doctor gave me the go ahead to work out, with no further instruction. I went to the Curves yesterday and the women there didn't really have any guidance on what is or isn't safe during pregnancy. Does anyone have any idea? I thought I read somewhere not all of the machines are safe during pregnancy, but perhaps I'm wrong? Thank you in advance!

Baby Weight Dropping Curves...

My little girl was born over 10 lbs - that's upper 90%, and has been dropping down the curves ever since. She's a strictly breast-milk baby, and is very active and happy most of the time (let's face it, what baby is happy ALL the time?). I've weighed her again today (using medical scales, so the reading is accurate) and at a few days over 7 months, she's 15 lb 4 oz, and that's with a diaper on! According to the cdc charts, she's dropped to below 25%. We've started trying solids, but she firmly refuses cereal (or anything white in a spoon)...
