Dermatologist for Toddler with Eczema Issues?

Hi. Does anyone have a recommendation for a pediatric dermatologist? Our daughter is 2 years old and has been battling skin issues since she was an infant. We currently take her to Kenneth Bloom at Dermatology Center for Children and Young adults, but she's not showing any signs of improvement, and all he's doing is upping the medications we give her. Her current diagnosis is eczema, which I'm not too familiar with, but in doing some research it looks like it can definitely be aggravated by certain foods, etc. Her current dermatologist...

Can Prolonged Use of Hydrocortisone Cream Affect Growth of Child?

Hello moms. My 18 month old boy has chronic eczema since he was 6 months old and have been using a hydrocortisone cream prescribed by our pediatrician. We have been applying this cream, a 2.5% formulation cream since he was an infant with varying degrees of eczema relief. He has needed it on a daily basis and we have been applying it twice a day to his ankles, wrists and behind the knee--the areas that are affected. We also use Aquaphor and pretoleum jelly emollients to relieve his dry skin. We have not asked our pediatrician though...

Red/raw Skin Around Lips

My almost eight year old daughter has a very bad habit of licking around her lips during the winter months ( starting last winter). This causes a vicious cycle because it dries out the skin, making her lick it and then it's more red and becomes crusty. The fact that it's unsightly is bad enough but it's also a health concern as well. Last winter it allowed impetigo to occur because the broken skin became infected. Most things I have tried to put on her skin I am told "burn" and she won't use them. I have tried petroleum based products and...
