21 Month Old with Rashes on Legs and Spreading

My 21 month old son has had a scabby rash behind one knee for over 6 months. The doctor thought it was yeast and at one time gave us prescription yeast cream for it, but it did not go away. We have since tried EVERYTHING to get rid of it including neosporin, gold bond powder, resinol, etc. It occasionally gets better for a few days but then it always gets worse again, it never completely goes away. In the past two days he has also developed small pimple-like red bumps with dark tiny little head on them all over his legs. Overnight they...

Diaper Rash--It's Been Three Months

Just wondering if anyone has had an experience like this with their baby. My daughter is 10 months old, and she's had a daiper rash since about 7 months old. It does not seem to bother her. It used to be worse, and when it started, it seemed to be caused by her poop. Her skin seemed to burn from the poop, blister, and then peel. It would clear up if she didn't poop for a couple of days, but it always came back when she pooped. Now it is only on her inner thighs OUTSIDE the diaper area. She's been to the ped three times, and they...

My 20yrs. old, niece just had a son. He's 4 wks old. She is a first time single mom and she takes very good care of him, but she has a few concerns. Please HELP!!! 1)He keeps spitting up the formula (soy) through his mouth, nose, and eyes. 2)There is blood in his stool. The doctor said the baby is probably allergic to the formula and the blood is probably from the allergy. 3)He has a diaper rash. Can any of you suggest a remedy, etc.

Severe Diaper Rash During Flu

My son who is 15 months old has had the flu for about 4 or 5 days now and has awful and I mean really awful diaper rash from all the diarrea he has had. What can I do to help clear it up and make it less painful. I am using just a spray bottle of warm water and paper towels to clean his bottom & was putting on generic Desitin but that doesn't seem to be helping. Any advice would be appreciate as we are both miserable and the doctor can't see us until next week.

Not Pooping, a Vicious Cycle

So my little guy, 2 1/2, has been going through this cycle and it's making us all crazy. He is holding his poop. Frequent diaper changes are irritating his bum. I have tried just about every diaper cream under the sun and they work for a while, then diaper rash is back. Can't leave him bare to dry out for too long as we have accidents. As diaper rash gets worse, holding poop is worse. He is not constipated, as the poo is not pebbly, so that's not my concern. I have put him on the potty with minor success, but he wails and cries the whole...

Home Cures for Diarrhea and Diaper Rash

My son got his first case of diarrhea and diaper rash over the weekend. Friday afternoon we noticed he was starting to get a diaper rash. He was in so much pain and being a first time parent, I wasnt really sure what to do and he was in so much pain so I called his doctor and she recomended the BRAT diet to harden up his stool, pedialight for dehidration, Epsom to help with the diaper rash and also a precription for his rash, We also give him a bath everytime he fills his diaper since we really can't wipe his butt, But today, I noticed...

Rash, Rash, Rash!!!!!

Where do I begin? I took Bella into the pediatrician's office for what I thought was sever diaper rash. Her doctor sent me home with medication for a yeast infection and Thrush. We used Monistat and Nystatin for a week, it didn't work. So I took her back to the doctor's office, they then sent me home Lotrimon and another dose of Nystatin. Another week went by, went back to the Dr's. office and they say that she doesn't have a diaper rash nor a yeast infection, it is now Exzema in the diaper area. The next week Bella got really sick...

11 Month Old with Thrush and Diaper Rash

I went to the pediatrician on Friday after my daughter had a stubborn diaper rash for 5 days that I suspected was yeast-related. Before I took her to the doctor, we had been trying Lotrimin AF on the rash which helped some but not enough. The doctor gave us oral nystatin for thrush in her mouth (I hadn't noticed the small white patches on the inside of her cheeks.) He also gave us nystatin ointment for her diaper rash. It isn't helping at all. Her butt looks worse, she doesn't want to eat solid food and gags a lot when I give her foods she...
