Looking for Nice Steakhouse in Carrollton Area

Ruth Chris (off tollway between Trinity Mills and Frankford) is my favorite followed by III Forks (beside Ruth Chris), and if you don't want to get quite as pricey, Outback Steakhouse (Addison and Lewisville probably closest locations to you) is always great. Have fun! Makes me want steak now =)

I really liked III Forks. I have only been there once (it is a little pricy) but it is very nice and my fillet mignon was wonderful!

We go to a nice little place called Dunston's. It has been around for ever. Quite, Quant, you can make it as romantice as you want. The steaks are always flavorful. They have a great salad. The cost are fairly reasonable. They have 2 locations Harry Hines Blvd and Lovers Lane. Depending on your order you can get out from $30.00 and up for both of you. My husband and I have been going there for many years.

landrys steakhouse is really nice it is on trinity mills and the tollway. or kirby's steakhouse on preston and parker in plano. or a twist on a regular steakhouse is kobe steakhouse its a japanese steakhouse.

You have MANY options to choose from! Here are a few that I recommend and why:

Three Forks (grand Texas style restaurant with huge portions and great service) - North Dallas Tollway
Texas De Brazil (all you can eat variety Brazilian steakhouse with huge salad bar) - Beltline and Tollway
Fogo De Chao (spelling?) another one like Texas De Brazil but more trendy - Beltline and Midway
Ruth's Chris (New Orleans style steakhouse) - North Dallas Tollway
Sullivan's (more hip/trendy steakhouse with a nice lounge that has live performances) - North Dallas Tollway
My absolute favorite steakhouse is a smaller one called Chamberlain's on Beltline and the Tollway. Its chef is one of the best in the country. The food and service is always impeccable.

I hope this helps. Look these restaurants up on the Internet. I don't think you can go wrong choosing any of these as they are all great choices for meat lovers.

I've been to Del Frisco's and Pappas Brothers, both very very nice, but not Nick & Sam's, although they too were on the list of the top 10 steakhouses in Dallas that I found on the web.

I've been to Del Frisco's, Ruth's Chris, Pappas Brothers, Fogo De Chao, Bob's Steak and Chophouse, Kirby's, Dunston's, The Keg, Texas Land And Cattle and Outback, of the ones that have been mentioned already, and I'd say my favorite of these would be Ruth's Chris. But to be honest, whenever I want a steak, I usually go to The Macaroni Grill as I love their Tuscan Ribeye, and it doesn't cost $45 plus sides. :o)

I know it's for a special occasion though so I hope you find someplace your husband will love!

By far The Keg on Park and Tollway is the best. When we lived in Fort Worth we ate there a lot, and we got extremely excited when we moved back to Plano and they had one here. My best friend from Houston will travel here just to eat there. She fell in love with it in Canada.
You can also sign up for your birthday and they will send you a free dinner card for lobster and steak.

There's also Bob's Steak & Chophouse at Legacy and the tollway.

III Forks is really nice. I believe it's at Frankford and the Tollway. Also, there's Del Frisco's if you don't mind driving a little farther south to Spring Valley and the Tollway. Both are rated among the best in the area. Pricey, but well worth it for a special occasion. Congratulations and have fun wherever you go!

Owned by the III Forks people the steak is just as good (FANTASTIC) but the prices are a bit better as it is a bit more casual.

Hi, Lots of good suggestions so far and I want to add Kirby's Steak House in Plano on Preston just north of Parker. Great Service and nice atmosphere. Top notch is Del Frisco's. My experience at Smith & Wollensky was less than stellar. Have a great night out.

I'd suggest Ruth Chris Steakhouse on the Tollway. My husband and I went there for our anniversary a few years ago and he and I both loved it (even though I am not a steak person). If I have to eat it, I like my steaks well done, and the steak that I had there was very tender and flavorful.

P., This is a little different answer to your request for a "steak" restaurant but I strongly suggest this place in Grapevine. This is truly a treat for special occasions like anniversaries or birthdays. If your husband likes meat (beef and other kinds) he will think he has died and gone to meat heaven!

The Keg Steakhouse is GREAT!!! It's right near Willowbend Mall/Tollway. Enjoy.

In Lewisville, off of I35, Texas Land and Cattle is a very good chain steak place. If you want something a little more exclusive, try Minion in Plano. It is excellent- but it is a little pricey. Just depeneds on how much you want to spend. Have fun!

III Forks at Trinity Mills and the Tollway is quite good, and it includes sides, which is somewhat of a rarity around here.

My vote is for Sullivan's, Chamberlain's or Smith & Wollensky (Tollway & Frankford).

But... you can't go wrong with any of them!

You have had a lot of suggestions...My personal favorite is Kobe Steakhouse. It is Japanese restaurant where they cook your food in front of you!! KOBE beef is the best in my opinion. It is very tender and delicious!! They are located on Beltline and Tollway next to Shuck-N-Jive and The Memphis Club!! I hope this helps
