Letting Infant Sleep on Tummy

I know that because of SIDS the AAP and other organizations/doctors recommend almost always putting your baby to sleep on their back, except in extreme cases of reflux or other medical problems. With my first daughter, I always put her to sleep on her back, but she learned to roll over to her tummy at about 7 or 8 weeks, and slept much better once she did. With my 7 week old, she has not learned to roll over and does not seem like she's planning to try it anytime soon (like my first did), but I have let her sleep on her stomach a few times...

When Can You Give a Baby a Blanket in Their Crib at Night?

At what age can you use a blanket to cover your baby at night? My 9 month old's bedroom is always cold at night. I can't help but wonder if he would sleep better if he were covered. I am afriad of SIDS and haven't been able to get myself to cover him with a blanket. He is pretty mobile, he is crawling and has always been healthy. My friends have given me answers ranging from 'wait until he is 2 years old' to 'it is okay from day one.' I have honestly totally forgotten what I did with my 3 year old. Amazing what 3 years of sleep deprivation...

Sleeping Through the Night

I know I'll probably get a lot of "are you crazy?" responses but, should I allow my 5 week old son sleep 8 hours at night if he wants to? My MIL said to count my blessings and let him sleep but I feel guilty letting him go that long without eating. What do you guys think?

4 Month Old Won't Sleep in Crib

My baby has always been a great sleeper, even when he first came home from the hospital. We followed the eat, play, sleep routine and he has been sleeping at least 6 hours every night since he was 6 weeks old. He has always slept in his crib at night, but with a foam wedge. He also sleeps with in his crib a couple of times a day for naps. He is now too big for his wedge and it has been keeping him up at night. We removed the wedge two nights ago and my child has not slept since. He is on a solid routine at night, he goes to bed at 10...
