Where Did You Have Your Baby's Pictures Taken?

Our daughter is 6 weeks old, and I want to have some professional pics taken. I am 'thrifty', so struggle to justify spending a fortune on pics, but also don't want to go cheap and be unsatisfied. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. If you wouldn't mind giving an indication of cost and ease of selecting prints, that would be appreciated also!

We live east of Albuquerque, but are willing to go anywhere in ABQ.

I just took my boys, 4yrs and 3 months, to Portrait Innovations. They were great with the boys and took a lot of pictures. They have an advertised package for 9.95, that you get a lot of pictures with, but only one pose. You pick the pose. The best part is is that you get the pictures before you leave. They are on Wyoming, just north of Academy, on the East side of the street. Same side as the Taco Bell on the corner. Oh and no sitting fees.

hello, A.!

we've taken our little guy to portrait innovations and were very happy with the pictures...really inexpensive and very fast.

however, we recently found a new photographer that we LOVE! she did our pregnancy photos and some family photos...she was great! she met us at the duck pond at UNM (will meet anywhere) and charged us one low price to do the photos. then a few days later, a cd arrived in the mail with all of the photos! we just loved that idea! she posted a few of the pics on her blog...here is the link to our stuff...

you can also check out the rest of her blog to see if her style is your style, too! but, again, we just loved her and will be using her for our family/baby photos in the future!

hope this helps! let me know what you think!

I've also been to portrait innovations (in GA) and planned to go back to them next week for my daughter's one year photo, especially since we haven't been here long enough to find a "photographer". I was very happy with PI in GA. They did a fantastic job, and I got a TON of photos of both girls for $100. You can spend far less than that, but I got seven poses, three sheets of each, plus a whole package of one of those poses, and two "bonus" 10x13s with special effects, and a calendar. Pretty amazing!

I am the same way, and actually took my own pics of my daughter until her first birthday and then ordered cute bordered pics off of Wal-Mart's photo website. I think they call them post cards...ANYWAY!!

For her 1st birthday pic we took her to Kiddy Kandids in Coronado Mall. They have a special you can do that takes pics of your child at 2-4-6-8-10-12 months (or something like that, every 2-3 months) although we did not follow this, for her 12 month we got a HUGE amount of pictures, any sizes we wanted, and even a HUGE 10x12 poster board type picture for i think around $100-$120 (can't remember the exact price..i still have MOMMY brain 17 months later!! ;-)

I thought that was a great deal and they got the cutest poses and props. They allow two outfit changes.

Hope that helps! Good luck. OH, i also heard Portrait Innovations is really good, but i don't know the cost. My friend only goes there for her pics.
