I was curious what everyone pays for their housekeeper and what their square footage is? Do you use a service or an individual? Does your housekeeper speak English?
I think I pay a ton. I pay $80.00 for 3200 squft I would be interested in seeing the responses. My housekeeper comes 2x a week and does laundry so she gets 160.00 per week. good luck!
I have an individual that cleans for me and she speaks a liitle english. She charges $85/3000sf.
$80, every two weeks. One person (maybe 2 if she brings her sister) at 3400 sf, she washes and the sheets and towles while she cleans, and is here from 9-1+, very broken english. Love her to pieces.

I pay my housekeeper $100 for 12 hours, for a 1800 sq. house. She's Mexican, and has been working for me for 5 years and recently, after I had a baby, I hired her twice a week at the afternoons. She speaks good English. She does laundry, cleans the house, and takes care of bbby. I would highly recommend her to you if you want someone like that. I recommended her to another person on mamasource, and she is really happy with her.

I pay $90 for once a month but she also offers $70 for once every two weeks. She speaks descent english and her husband also comes with her everytime as her co-worker. They are extremely reliable but I think mainly work in the Frisco/Plano area. Our house is 2100 sq ft and it usually takes about 4 hours for them to clean top to bottom. My friends all use another lady who speaks very little english but she also charges $70 every 2 weeks. I hope that helps. I would definitely recommend it if you can afford it. I have a 3 year old and another on the way and just started using a house keeper and I can honestly say that it is the best money I spend all month. :)

I found a woman (independent) who I love. She charges $60 and comes every other week. Our home is a 2 story 4 bdrm home. The only drawback is that her English is very limited but with hand gestures and slow speaking we manage quite well. I'd be happy to pass along her information if you are interested.

$100/wk. no service--an individual. yes, she speaks english. 3850 sq. ft. it may be a little high but she does a lot--washes all my sheets every week and puts them back on my bed, etc.
$75 every two weeks. One individual, US citizen, only speaks English. She works about 5 hours in our house about 3000 sq ft.
$80 for a one story 3000 square foot home every 2 weeks. A group of 6 women come in run by a hispanic women. They are great.
