I am also ttc #2 with no luck yet. We had fertility issues the first time and it is looking like we will have to seek outside help this time around as well. I know too well the heartache that goes along with everyone around you being pg and you aren't...my best friend just told me she is pg with #2 and they weren't even trying. All I can say is hang in there! It sounds dumb, I know, but all things happen In God's time, not ours ( I leaned that the hard way with the 2 1/2 yrs it took us to conceive our first!) Also, I wouldn't wait too much longer to see your dr. I personally would much rather know if something is wrong and deal with it than to wait and wait for it to happen and find out something was wrong that is easily fixable! GOOD LUCK!!!

i am sorry for you but you should be happy she gets to be a mom. yes i do know how hard it is to get prego sometimes but you have a child so be thinkfull for that little one you already have. Just relax and god in time will give you another one.

Try not to focus on her...easier said than done, I know. However, the stress might hurt your chances of getting pregnant even more. Just remember that everytime you feel jealous or upset when you see her.

When it comes to you getting pregnant, have you read the book, "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler, MPH? Here is the website...http://www.tcoyf.com/ I used this book, and it worked for me. It is an easy read, especially if you are super motivated to get pregnant.

I have no advice. I just want to tell you that you are not alone in what you are experiencing. I have a 2 year old daughter, I miscarried last November, and I have not yet been able to get pregnant again. I do bbt charting, mucus charting, and use a fertility monitor, but no luck yet. It is truly heartbreaking when you want something so badly and it seems that others can get pregnant so easily. It just feels all so unfair.

That being said, most doctors say that if you try for a year and are unsuccessful, you can try Clomid. I know that medication has been a God-send for a few of my friends who struggled to conceive.

Anyhow, I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. I'll keep you in my prayers.

I understand your struggle. My husband and I tried to get pregnant for 14 months before we were successful. We are not about three months along, but it was a hard 14 months. I watched several of my friends get pregnant and have babies while I was still trying. I work at a hospital and saw so many mothers who seemed so unprepared and yet we were so ready. What I learned in the end was that I really had no control over when I got pregnant and I had to remind myself that it just wasn't the perfect time. There's an old prayer that asks for the serenity to accept the things I can't change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. I can relate. My husband and I have been trying for a long time, with no success. It seems that everyone we know is getting pregnant. It is really tough not resenting the success that others have had. One thing I try to do is know that there is a reason for the way things work out. Maybe your friend and her boyfriend need a baby to get them to become more responsible, and maybe your son needs your full attention right now. I know this doesn't make it any easier, but try to stay positive.

One of the best websites this site has tipped me off to has been FertilityFriend.com. If you have a regular cycle, it's a great resource to know when you're ovulating. It helped me stay not-pregnant for over year and then, the first month we tried, it happened. Good luck!
