Hi I live in the 249 area (also known at tomball pkwy) and im looking for a christian private school with small class ratios. My daughters (2nd grade) currently attend the aldine district but the class ratios are too big and i feel that they are not learning well. Also if anyone knows of a summer reading/math program for this summer, i would also appreciate your input on that. Thanks so much.

What can I do next?

Call and go visit Salem Lutheran School. It is located off 2920 just past Telge. We have many friends who send their children to Salem.

Try Cypress Christian School (located on Cypress N. Houston just west of Jones Road). You didn't say what grades you needed, but Cypress goes kindergarten through 12th, I think. If you need a good pre-school, St. Timothy's Lutheran on Hargrave or the Lamb School of Metropolitan Baptist (on Jones near Grant Road) are good.

Bless your heart, dear. We left Aldine when my special needs soon was in high school as they just couldn't seem to "get it" when it came to meeting his needs. The Cy-Fair schools did a much better job. I suppose moving to a new district is out-of-the-question, huh?

Godspeed finding a place for your precious ones.

my DD goes to K in at Cypress Christian on Cypress N. Houston. There are 14 kids in her class. She loves it. here's the link: http://www.cypresschristian.org/ In Kindergarten, they memorize a verse a week, and it is so nice to hear her recite Scripture! we got a flyer home about a reading program held at the school this summer. not sure about math.

I have two girls, one in K and one in 3rd grade. They both attend Windwood Christian Academy, which is on Spring Cypress, 2 blocks from 249. My oldest started in the Preschool and my youngest in the Mother's Day Out. They love it and have done really well. The class sizes are small and it is a great loving Christian environment. They do tours everyday, all you have to do is call and set an appointment for a tour.

M.,
I sure know what you mean about Aldine ISD, I also live at
Hwy 249 & Bammel N Houston. They labeled my child during preschool and now he is at the Gap Center at Westfiled # Aldine Bender. There is a Christian School up on Cypresswood, between 249 and Veterans memorial I cant recall the name. you might want to take a ride and check it out. It's down by the park and Veterans Memorial. This would be the Klien district, but if I could afford it I would send my son. LOL

Hi, I recommend Northwoods Presbyterian Early Learning Center Preschool ... warm nurturing Christian environment, tenured teachers with a small class size. They are offering a new full day program and also have some very cool summer camps. The website is http://www.northwoods.org/content/view/18/43/
