Hey mamas! I need some help here. My daughter is 3 and will be 4 yrs old in February. But she is def ready for preschool she knows her colors, numbers, shapes, ABCs, and has great speech and vocabulary. Problem is up until 2 weeks ago we were moving to Ohio for hubbys job so I didn't look into preschools to much out here. Last night we got the amazing news that we no longer need to relocate. =) the only place I looked into so far was the bolingbrook park district that a few friends recommended but there is already a waiting list for all of their 3 yr programs. Can anyone offer and help or insight on preschool programs you have used and loved? I'm open to just about anything...park districts, private preschools, religious programs? I just don't know where to start and I hate to just blindly try to choose a place before hearing other mamas experiences! Thanks so much in advance ladies-u guys are the BEST!

Kensington School. There are two locations in Naperville. My two boys attended the Kensington School on 75th street led by Mrs. Robb and they loved it. The teachers and staff are friendly, they have great activities/lessons for the children, and the building/play areas are wonderful.

The Compass School in Naperville is great. We were there for over 4 years, my older daughter stayed there through their Private K and my younger one was in preschool there until we moved. They are located at Naper and Maple (they also have a newer location at 95th and Rte 59). www.thecompassschool.com

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions or want more info.

Good luck in your search!

Both of my children, and many children in our neighborhood, attended GingerCare. It's at the far north end of Naperville/Aurora. It might be a long haul for you. However, the care there is exceptional! The staff is wonderful. They also educate the whole child and you feel like family there! We loved it.

Another vote for Wheatland Salem - I am currently sending my second child through the school and really love it. Great teachers, great facility (the school is in its own wing, not just a room or two in the church), etc. Also have many friends/neighbors who have sent their children to Wheatland Salem and all have had great experiences. If you are interested, I would contact them right away for a tour. I know that several of the sessions have waiting lists for next year (for example, some of the morning classes might be booked, but there are probably openings for the afternoon classes). Hope that helps - good luck!

I'm a member of Bethany Lutheran in Naperville (on Modaff Rd near 75th St). They have an incredible preschool! And quite frankly, their dayschool (K-8) is also fantastic and the kids typically score significantly higher than the surrounding school districts' averages.

Wheatland Salem Christian Academy 95th and Book.

I am hopefully sending my son their next year (if he is potty trained). My sister sent her kids and love it.

My son attended Hidden Oaks (the Seedlings program) through the Bolingbrook Park District--it is the new nature center at the park district. He has attended for the past two years and loved it--if you are open to afternoons you should definitely check and see if they have availability. That class time tends to not fill up for them--they have only been open for 2 years so not everyone knows about them yet! Good luck!

All three of my children have attended Little Blessings. LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT! Great loving, nurturing environment. There are so many extra activities, too. There is a dance studio, tumbling classes, enrichment classes and lunch bunch. You could even send them to 5 full days, if you needed to. My kids were really loved. I will be so sad when my youngest goes to kindergarten and I don't have a reason to be there all of the time.
