The stains always come out and never reappear. I just had him clean our rental house carpets yesterday afternoon. I was convinced the stains wouldn't come out, but they did. He is a miracle Worker! I'm a mom with 3 young boys and one huge dog. I recently had a great experience with a carpet cleaning company called Cleaning Houston. Although I did not have my carpet stretched, I did have many stains I thought would never come out. I spoke with a gentlman named Ron. They include pre-treatment in their cost. I have the best carpet cleaning company. They were fairly priced and AWESOME! I'm sure they work in the Woodlands. At least I hope they do. Their name is: Alpine Carpet and Upholstery Care, Inc. Their # is 281-353-CLEAN (2532). They even give you a free bottle of stain lifter at the end of their service. I've had pleasant experiences with Dennis (Manager) and Craig (I think that's his name). Great company! I had a few stains on a new carpet and Craig worked very hard to get them out. He even helped me move my very heavy king sized bed to clean a vomit spot that my dog made when the fella was here. Carpet looks brand new. Cost should be around $100.00 for 2-3 rooms. Good luck!

I had the same need a few weeks ago, my husband sd for me to call someone to come out and do it, verses us renting the machine, bbuying cleaning products, etc, it would be just as cost effective, less sress on me, be done,etc. So i looked in phone book, call'd first one on the page, aladin carpet cleaners, got an estimate, they could come right away, so i sd yes pls come. They came, the owner, and a helper, done the job, i pd them and they left. About 10 - 15 mins after they were gone, i went in my bedroom to grab my purse, wedding ring, which was sitting on my jewlery cabinet, to my horror, it was gone !!!!!!!!! I call'd owner, he assured me he nor his helper took it, but after 10 mins, he call'd back sd he found my ring in his helper's sock. He did meet me at the tomball police station w/ ring and info on employee to file charges. Altho i did get my ring back, and owner gave me the money back from the cleaning service, i felt that this was probably not the employee's first bbq w/ taking things, and i sure did not want to see it happen to anyone else. I found a great one a few years ago - but unfortunately - have not ben able to relocate them. Most will drive a distance - so if you hear a good recommendation - dont feel they have to be in the exact area.

However, the first rule of carpet cleaning is - make sure it is a steam clean without any type of soap or chemical. The reasoning is that - anything that is used to clean - will continue to attract soil. Since you cannot thoroughly rinse your carpet the way you rinse clothes in a clothes washer - any cleaning agent applied will forever be on the carpet - and thus will attract dirt that much quicker after the initial cleaning.

The second rule of carpet cleaning is to ensure there is adequate pressure that is used in the machines. So - feel free to call around different companies- but clarify they use only steam, and then ask and compare the pressure and water temperature that they use.

Steamatic is very good - but they are not cheap.

I am an interior designer who specializes in commerical and healthcare interiors - and I have a lot of experience with carpet and cleaning.

I have used The Woodlands Carpet cleaning for years. They switched owners a couple of years ago and it is still family owned youg couple, he does great work and will even follow up for free. I highly reccomend them. They are listd in the Interfaith.
