I am a single mom with a 4 month old little girl. I work full time and have now been faced with the task of putting her into daycare. I live in Arlington (around 360 north & Green Oaks) and would like some insight on a good, clean, safe environment to take my daughter to. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What can I do next?

Hi T.,

I have done A LOT of researching on daycares & in-homes in this area (76006 zip) as I am looking for a new day care provider for my 11.5 month old son to begin in October. Let me go ahead and tell you that in this area, in-homes are VERY RARE. For some reason all in-home day cares are in South Arlington/Mansfield area. However, here is what I found so far...

Here are some sites...

http://www.choosehomechildcare.com/

http://metrodaycare.com/

http://www.dfps.state.tx.us/Child_Care/Search_Texas_Child...

Hope these help... Good luck!

T.,
I am not sure where you work, however, we love this place called the S.S. Noah Playcare Center in Grapevine. It's very close to 360 north! They do flat rates and have hourly care. My husband and I work at different times, and I liked that this place is open until 10pm during the week and we've used it for date nights on the weekends. One of the thngs that impressed me was that the infant teacher used to work at Baylor in the NICU unit! Hope this helps! Thier website is ssnoahplaycare.net

Hi, I highly recommend Primrose, located in Mansfield just north of the intersection of Matlock and Country Club. All three of my sons have attended Primrose, either there or in Rockwall, and I have always been very satisfied with the quality of care they provide. The only problem might be the wait. They always have a waiting list. Both of my youngest sons were on the list for at least 6 months before they got in. It might be worthwhile to put your daughter on the list, and find a temporary place to put her until her name comes up. My kids knew their alphabet, could count to 15 or 20, knew their colors and shapes, and had table manners by the time they were two. All acomplished in a nurturing and caring environment. I was impressed. Hope this helps.
