Peeling Toes - Fort Stewart,GA

My 20 month old son has had some peeling on the under side of his toes and a little bit on the ball of the foot. I was thinking maybe athlete's foot, but he has no itchiness, nor does he have and redness or initiated skin in between his toes. He is a very sweaty boy and while in the house, is always barefoot, so his feet can breathe. Has anyone else's toddler had something similar? What was the treatment?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for responding! My son has not been exposed to any illnesses lately, and is feeling 100% fine, so I do not think it is a symptom of something more severe like strep or hand, foot, and mouth disease (thankfully!) This peeling has been going on for about 3 weeks now, and I have yet to think to put powder on his feet. I will try to keep his feet as dry as possible and see if it clears up on its own. If not, then I guess it will be off the the doctor's.

When my kids were little they got that all the time. Comes and goes with no issues.

WEIRD thought, but friend of mine's son was having some strange symptoms, including peeling feet, and it turned out to be strep. Has he had strep or been exposed to strep lately?

that used to happen to my boys too. we used to just peel it off. It never got crazy or anything. I think it's mostly caused from sweat. Maybe powder/cornstarch the piggies at bedtime?

Hand, foot and mouth disease can cause that. Does he have any peeling on the hands, a fever? It could just be nothing but if it continues to ease your mind you might want to go get it checked out.
