Need an OB Recommendation for LFH or Condell -- Due in 6 Weeks!!!

If you have been seeing an OB during your pregnancy, he cannot drop you due to a change in insurance especially that late in your pregnancy. You most likely will not get a doctor to accept you that late in your pregnancy as well. You may just have to pick a hospital you want to deliver at and show up when the baby is due and have the Hospitalist (OB On-Call for the hospital) deliver you.

I worked at LF in OB and the nursing staff is great and it shouldn't be that big of a deal. But, seriously if you are an established patient somewhere, they can't drop you legally as a patient. And, if you get on public aid, they cannot refuse you if they have been seeing you throughout your pregnancy. I would talk to them and don't let them think they can't see you.

Dr. Hartman is my OB from Lake Forest. His office number is 847*615*2229. He's located on the 3rd floor of Maternity. He's been my OB since I've been married in 1997 & for all 4 of my kiddos. He's a bit older & has like 10 kids of his own. I've never had a problem with him. I haven't heard of any of my friends who use him also have a problem. Not sure if they take the state aid. I believe their office is open at 8 or 8:30a.m. on Monday so you can check with them. Congrats on your little addition!

Dr Christine Calvello at The Women's Center, 660 Westmoreland. I don't know if she accepts public aid, but if you go to the Women's Center they should be able to help.
Great choice of hospital to give birth.

I use Westmoreland OB. I delivered both of my children with them and have used them for 11 years now. I have seen all 4 doctors there and like them all. They are affiliated with LF (only hospital I would use). Not sure what insurance they accept though. They have a LFH office as well as a Grayslake office in the acute care center on 120. Their number is ###-###-####. Hope they work for you!

Not sure if they take state aid..but I love Spellman, shaffer, Nakanishi (sp) and there is a fourth but I forgot their name. They are located in Condell, in the womaen's center. Delivered all my kids and do my yearlys..love them
