Well,.... shes not exactly a baby anymore but i still see her that way. Everytime she gets a new tooth in or catches a slight cold she will get nauseated and feverish for 2 days. The doctors just say give her pedialite, but theres gotta be other things i can do, shes so miserable right now and mommy is getting a little sad too.

I call upon the infinite wisdom of the mommys on mamapedia, help me to help her..........thanks in advance

*edit, she's almost 2

What can I do next?

Popsicles are my liifesaver. My little guy is 19 months and always gets sick when he cuts teeth, so I can relate. I have a fresh fruit feeder that I use. I cut/break up the popsicle and put it in there so I don't have to worry with a stick.
It can be messy. I have lovely multi-colored drip stains on my carpet.

When my daughter was that age (and still now) when she has a stomach bug I give her wither Coke or Ginger Ale. It keeps her hydrated and she will drink it down.

It's ok to give soda when whe needs to stay hydrated.

How old is she?

If she's a toddler, you could try cola syrup for the nausea. Ask the pharmacist.

She is still a baby and I am sure it upsets you to see her nauseated and feverish. I would try some homeopathic or natural rememdies. Visit a healtfood store and see if they can recommed some natural ways of controlling fevers and nausea. Ginger is really great for nausea.
Good luck... even though she is almost 2, she will always be a baby to you.
Sincerely,
Jan
