my 10 yr old daughter does her own laundry..and "somehow a red crayon" ended up in the drier with her clothes..and melted all over most of them..anyone know how to salvage her clothes?
i'm sorry i don't have any advice but just wanted to thank you. i was about to wash my girls' clothes, and after reading your post, i checked their pockets and found 2 red crayons.

I know this works with wax on clothes/carpet, its worth a shot with a crayon. Get a crappy old towel and lay it on her clothes. Then place the iron on the towel where the spots of crayon are on her clothes. With any luck the crayon will melt onto the towel and off her clothes. Hope this makes sense. and more so, I hope it works!

I do believe the crayola.com website said WD-40. I think it said to use dish soap and then WD-40. You may want to visit the website to make sure.
My son left crayons all over my fabric seats in the car in 115 degree weather. WD-40. Sounds weird but it got ALL of the crayon out and left no stain. I would try it on her least favorite item of clothing just in case, but I saw NO evidence of it when I was finished using it. Good luck.
