I've heard a lot about these programs. I was wondering if any of you could give me the number of a good one? We live in Southwest Ft. Worth, near SouthWest High School.

Thank You!

I've worked in daycares for years. Things to watch for....Does the director introduce her or himself to you immediately. Does she introduce you to ALL the teachers. Do the teachers greet you? Are there plenty of toys? The daycare doesn't have to be immaculately clean, because if it is then the children aren't playing like they should be. And also even if you tour the MDO or Daycare and your child doesn't want to stay, doesn't mean its a bad place. It just means its new to your child. when my daughter was 10, she was diagnosed with ODD, depression and separation anxiety. Little Tykes Childcare in Crowley were the best thing that ever happened to her. They welcomed her and my other 2 children in with open arms. That was the first place I was ever able to leave my daughter w/out her screaming and fighting. They do have part time daycare also. Goodluck.

J., I researched this extensively last spring (I live off bRyant Irvin). BTW-I decided to wait for now based on what I saw and I have a Masters in education : ) I do have several ideas for you if you want to do stuff other than MDO that's free or close to it.

What kind of program are you looking for? How old is your child? If you have any you want the scoop on, I either toured or talked to many of the ones around here...

J., My 3 year old (just turned 3 and am holding him back in school) son attends ARK School that meets on Mondays and Wednesdays at Altamesa Church of Christ. It is a 9 am. to 2 p.m. school and we LOVE IT! He has just been to 3 classes - so they are probably still have enrollment - I know his class is young 3's and a few old 2's - he has 6 in his class and I think she has room for 2 more - then there's an older and younger class that your child might fit into. They are great - it is a Christian preschool if that is something important to you - they have a Bible lesson every day in addition to the other things they learn. Good luck! I'm so happy that my son is enjoying it so much.
