When is a period consider late? I'm in day 32 of my cycle.
Never in any of my past posts did I say I don't have a period. Last cycle was shorter, that's all I posted.

When is it considered late? Well, if you have a normal cycle and it is after your normal expected date of starting..then you are late. however, if you do not have a normal cycle? It's hard to say.
If you feel like you need to test for pregnancy? then do. Go to the dollar store and buy some pregnancy tests and keep them around.
What's your normal cycle? If your normal cycle is 28 days, then yes you're late. If your normal cycle is 34 days, then no you're not late. If your cycle is sporadic then it may or may not be late and you should go see your OB/GYN to find out what's up with a hinky cycle and get a blood test for pregnancy just in case.
it sounds like you need to go to your OB/GYN and figure out what is going on.
I would go to the dollar store, as was suggested, and buy several HPTs.
