Are there any places for kids to take a cooking class in the Flower Mound/Lewisville/Highland Village area? I think there's one in Carrollton off Hebron Parkway, but I can't remember the name of it. Anyone know? Thanks in advance!!

I believe it's the Young Chefs Academy??? My daughter went there with her Junior Girl Scout Troop over spring break and had a great time, they made homemade spagetti and sauce. I thought it was great because she came home and explained the "No Thank You bite" which means it is polite to taste one bite and then if you don't like it, you just politely say no thank you and you don't offend the person who prepared the food. I've been trying to teach her that for years! LOL

I just saw one offered for the summer in the Lewisville class offerings. It's like classes offered through the city at rec centers. Try going to city of lewisville.com and look for "wow" brochure for class offerings.

You HAVE to check out Young Chefs Academy in Hebron area, J. Luney is the owner and she and her staff are fantastic! The kids have hands-on cooking, they do classes, camps, birthdays and special events. Go check them out, you and your daughter will love it!

J., I am not sure what you are looking for, but my husband is a chef and one of the things that he offers are cooking classes both adult and kids. They are fun and can be taylored to the age of children as to what they make and learn. The best ones are like a cooking party and he actually does these in the home. Moms get children together that want to learn or sometimes for a birthday party and the class comes to them. The only challenge that we have is when they aren't set up for a party or group type it can not make due to the number, or can be a little pricey
