Hi to all,
My little nephew will turn 1 yr old at the end of the month and I would like to find an original idea for a birthday gift.
Just as a little info, he’s a very loved and wanted child and his parents are well off, so he has all the basics and more so he doesn’t really NEED anything. He lives on the other side of the country, so I don’t have access to more pictures that what I receive from them and I can’t offer to babysit or anything like that.
Thank you ladies (and gentleman), your help will be appreciated.

What can I do next?

What about those books that you can record your self?
A picture frame with your picture, in case they don't have one already, with a I LOVE YOU design.

What about practical things, like a toddler dinner set or labels for his gear (Mabel's Labels are cute and sturdy and they will mail to anybody if you ask), or a book you loved as a child?

Open a checking account for him! even if his parents are well off, he might enjoy as he grows older knowing he has a little fun money from Aunt so-and-so. You can just put money in there and get him a debit card or whatever and add to it every year.

Check out the sale I'm having on my Discovery Toys

He would love Castle Marbleworks, Hammer Away, Measure Up Cups, Go Go Caterpillar, Block It and Working Trio. Both of my kids (4.5 years and 15 months) play with and love these toys!

LeapFrog Fridge Phonics. Awesome toy that helps keep them occupied in the kitchen. It teaches the letters and their sounds, and the alphabet song. My son learned all of his letters with no help from me really in about 5 months, just playing around with it. It's not expensive, but it is a smart purchase.

My classic gifts for my children at that age were Lego Quatro blocks, Little People barn/animals, and books. Books. And more books! Maybe you could start him off with a few great books...I suggest Go, Dog! Go!
