So i was thinking about different date night ideas. Sometimes between working going to school and having a child/ children you loose time for yourself, and you significant other. so i wanted to know some great websites to find different things to do on a date, or hear some of your ideas.
I read alot of relationship sites that suggest date night to keep the relationship alive what suggestions do you have or what do you and you significant other do?

Just keep doing whatever it was you did when you were first dating!
I mean, that's what brought you together in the first place, right?
For my hubby and I that means movies, sporting events, live music, dinner and drinks.
Do what YOU like to do as a couple!

We go for long walks and talk.
We went once to the beach and watched the movie on the portable DVD player.
Sometimes we go out and have dinner or drinks with other people.
We go on short 2-4 day vacations together.
I come to his work and we have lunch together.
We stay late after kids went to bed and watch a movie together.
We take our older son (14) with us on hikes, bowling, restaurants, live concerts, movies, you name it. It is nice to have grown up kid :)

There is a book called "1001 Ways to be Romantic". It has lots and lots of date night ideas.

What do you like to do? My wife and I do some of the things we haven't done at all or haven't done in a long time. We went bowling. We go bowling about every other year. I'm a real strong 100 point bowler. ;~)) My wife is better she is a real strong 120 point bowler. Once we went on a hot air baloon flight. Once we went on a glider airplane flight. You are only limited by your imagination and your willingness to try something new. Ever been swimming after dark under a full moon? Its very romantic to see the full moon reflecting off a lake. Make a fire and roast hot dogs and marshmellows or make s'mores. Rent a pontoon boat and have a picnic out on the water. Its all the better if you can find a quiet inlet. Just some thoughts. I hope you have a wonderful time.

Good luck to you and yours.

I used to get off work at 4 on Fridays, My husband and I would go out to a happy hour for a couple hours just to talk, have a drink and inexpensive food. It worked out well because we didn't have to pay any extra money for childcare. It felt like a dinner out and good time together without spending very much.

I do think it is so important to save time for just the two of you. I don't have any specific websites, but maybe do something together that you used to do before you had kids.

For us, my wifes kids go to their dad's house every thursday for the night. So we have a standing date night. It has been as simple as walking around our subdivision after dinner, emptying out the DVR from the comfort of the couch or grabbing dinner and going to a movie. Sometimes we go to the bookstore and part ways to our favorite sections, it's not always about the face to face, just the fact that we are 'close'. Don't put so much pressure on, just have fun!

We have done lots of different things. We used to go to the bookstore and get a coffee and read books and talk about them. Or we'd go window shop. Then we started going out for dinner and drinks, we do that a lot now. And we have started incorporating friends with our nights out, since it is nice to be social with others too and have adult interaction. Hope you have fun planning yours, and that you have a fabulous evening!!
