Cheer Buckets

Hi C., I have a couple of suggestions. I"ve been coaching cheer for 5 yrs and honestly those buckets are more trouble than they are worth. They are bulky and then can get heavy to carry and the kids have a hard time with them. I agree that the buckets are really cute, we did them one year and I swore I would never do them again and all my parents thanked me.

Theres a website called Omnicheer they have the cutest stuff. We order bags from them every year. We get these duffle looking bags that say Cheer on them for $13.00. Shipping is usually free but I"m not sure if thats because I order so many, I have 2 teams.

Please dont let me discourage you, the busckets are cute and If you really want them you can can probably find good stuff to decorate with at Walmart. They have lots of Cowboy stuff. What would be is go to hobby lobby and get a paint stensil of a star and paint a big start on each side of the bucket then maybe sponge paint the girls names . Get some padding and Cowboy fabric, also at hobby lobby and line the tops to make a seat for the girls to sit on.

My daughter is a JV cheerleader and we have a lot of gear, mostly personalized.

We order from Varsity a lot.

Cheerleading.com has a lot of cheer items and they are in the Dallas area so you can go to the showroom. I think they are in the Garland area or somewhere off 635. We ordered pom poms from them last year.

Pick up a copy of the Cheerleading magazine and it has tons of ideas and places to find things.

General Cowboy items can be found at Oriental Trading. There is another place kindof like Oriental Trading in Plano located at the NW corner or independence and Parker (US Toy).

In Plano there's a party store called...Constructive Playthings or US Toy on Parker Road. It's kind of like an Oriental Trading. It's really cool and has tons of themed items.

I did a google search for "cheer buckets" and so many images pulled up for good ideas!!
I also ditto the Varsity comment. I cheered throughout college and there was only one place for uniforms and equipment:)
