I supervise group homes in the twin cities, and our organization uses Clifford Carpet Cleaner in our 75 properties. Their prices are very affordable compared to other companies and they do a great job. ###-###-####

I'm getting my carpets cleaned next week by a company called Oxy Magic (oxymagiconline.com). I haven't used them yet so I don't know how good of a job they do, but I picked them because they are environmentally friendly, safe for pets and kids and supposedly the carpets dry fast and soft. Their prices are very reasonable.

I second Zero Rez. We hired them a month ago because I wanted some non-toxic cleaning. They were amazing. Great customer service, no stinky chemicals... They didn't have to use my bathroom for water supply since they use their own special water. The guy even cleaned (free!) a little doll bed for me that had a water mark on it. The floors were dry in just a couple hours and looked FANTASTIC.

I have someone I love and have used them exclusively for several years, but I can't find their number right now and I am running late to get out of town for the weekend. If you haven't found someone by Monday send me a private e-mail and I'll dig up their number. They operate under the name "Finish Line," but I see in the phone book that there is more than one Finish Line. I am in the south metro, but I think they operate out of Bloomington and go all over the metro. It is Steve and Isaac. They have rescued me from having to replace my carpets. They are in the process of getting new and improved equipment too--a bigger, more powerful truck.

J.,
I have just the person -- Brad Smallfield of Del's Cleaning. He owns the business with his dad and has been cleaning carpets for nearly 20 years.

He is very trustworthy, dependable and does a great job. It's like having your brother come to your come to get the job done (right).

He covers the metro area and his pricing is very reasonable.

Hi J.-
Here is what I know : )
Awful experience with ACR (Advanced Carpet Restoration) that incldued their carpet guy yelling insults at my DH in front of my house and then proceeding to use the phone number I provided them (my cell) to prank call me repeatedly. The boss/owner was super unprofessional.

My gf's husband is an Assistant Manager at Stanley Steemer and I called him right away after dealing with this company (who is widely publicized with coupons etc) and he said I am not the first person to call them after a bad experience. So stay away is my advice!

Les also gave me a couple of pieces of advice when looking around.
1) The actual equipment should be truck mounted (It makes total sense but I never thought to ask it before making my appointment)
2) They should send two people - not one.
3) Most companies (good, reputable ones) will charge about the same.

Good luck!
A.
