Burning Pain on Side

Hi Mamas,
Has anyone experienced a burning sensation on the left side of the abdomen just above the pelvic bone? I had it a few days ago and again tonight, but not as intense. I probably would not even have paid attention to it tonight if it had not happened before more noticeably. Looking online, it appears serious if it is up closer to the rib cage, but I couldn't find anything related to the lower abdomen.
I recently had lung cancer so I am paranoid!
TIA

Considering that you recently had cancer, and clearly are worried, please get to a doctor. Pains in the abdomen are so vague -- they could be nothing but indigestion, or they could be a sign of something serious, but what? It's difficult to tell, because women have SO much "plumbing" down there. Better to go to the doctor than try to get answers here where we're not doctors and can't examine you. Since it's happened twice, it's worth seeing someone about it.

The most obvious possibilities are an ovarian cyst or ovulation. I've had lung cancer and so understand your concern. I go to the doctor when I have symptoms that worry me. So far, so good! It's always been something else. Sometimes something that needs medical attention; sometimes not; but never a reappearance of cancer.

It could be an ovarian cyst. But I would definately get it checked out.

I did a quick search and found an article. Given you have a recent serious health history, this is not something I would ignore!! Better see a Dr. to rule anything out.

Ovaries were my first thought. When I get cramps that's where it hurts. Have it checked out just to be sure!

Go to the dr to be be sure.
I had that and it was an ovarian cyst.
Nothing to be ignored so while I'm not trying to scare you I do strongly suggest you make a dr appt ASSP.
Good luck!
