Baby Jogger City Mini

Hi, Mommas.

I just got a new stroller-the Baby Jogger City Mini - for my sweet daughter and have a few questions.

1 - The safety straps - Do you actually use these? I purchased this stroller because of the sweet folding mechanism, but the safety straps are a PAIN - sort of defeating the purpose. Just wondering if you normally use these or if they are just for extra precaution?

2 - I see the little latch thingy to hold it folded in place, but I can't seem to get it to fold that close together that it actually latches? Am I doing something wrong? Or do you have to do something like take the wheel or canopy off to get that feature to work?

3 - Accessories, we have the belly bar. I am wondering whether or not we should have gotten the child tray or the adult tray instead. Opinions?

Thanks!
K.

I also love my city mini

1. I don't use the straps either

2. Sometimes the front wheel doesn't turn and it doesn't fold flat then. But, I also don't latch mine

3. I have the parent console, which is great. The rain tarp, which has been useful. And the travel bag-we fly a lot, so it protects the stroller.

Hope that helps

LOVE my Citi Mini!

The first time I saw it fold I knew it was the stroller for me.

1. No, I don't actually use the saftey straps (though no doubt you are supposed to). If I'm going to have the stroller open for a long time (like days) without folding it up, I will snap them, but rarely do it.

2. I have to push REALLY REALLY hard to get mine to latch. And the wheels do have to be aligned a certain way. If you have accessoreis I'm wondering if maybe that makes a difference? Again, the only time I've latched it is when I absolutely have to (like checking it on an airplane).

3. I had a parent compartment thing hanging from the back but I found it annoying so I took it off. So I have no accessories. It'd be nice to have a drink holder for me, but I get by.

My son is 2 1/2, 35+ lbs and he climbs in and out by himself these days. And I can still hold him in one arm and fold the stroller in the car with the other hand. It's a great stroller.

We have the Baby Jogger Citi Mini and have used it for both of our boys. We never secured it closed (I think that's what you are referring to). We bought it because it was so easy to pick up and close and open with one hand. The only accessories we purchased were the attachments to use the Maxi Cosi Mini Infant Carrier Car Seat. We hardly used the Infant Carrier with our second baby, since it was so easy to just place the baby in the stroller in the most reclined position and close the buckles. We used it so much! We just loved it, and will be using again when the weather permits, with our one year old.

I just got the City Mini and the parent console to go with it. Although we haven't used the stroller yet (our baby is due in a week and a half) I couldn't get the latch to hold in place until I removed the parent console. Once it was removed, I had no problem!
